Description
Therapeutic massage is our most versatile treatment: a blend of techniques your registered massage therapist tailors to what your body needs that day. It sits between a relaxation massage and deep tissue work, with enough focus to address real tension and pain, and enough care that you leave feeling restored rather than worked over.
Is this right for you?
This is the right choice for most people, most of the time: nagging neck and shoulder tension, desk-posture stiffness, headaches, general aches you can't quite pin down. It's also the massage we recommend when you're not sure what to book: your RMT will assess and adapt the treatment on the table.
What to expect
Your therapist will ask what's bothering you and what outcome you're after, then blend flowing strokes, focused pressure, and stretching accordingly. Communication is welcome throughout; pressure is always yours to dial up or down.

Common questions
What's the difference between therapeutic and deep tissue? Deep tissue commits the session to slow, deep work on specific problem areas. Therapeutic is broader and adaptive; your RMT may use deep techniques where needed, within a more balanced treatment.
I'm new to massage. Is this a good first appointment? It's the one we suggest for first visits at our St. Albert clinic. Your therapist learns your body and preferences, and every future treatment gets better from there.
